About Spirit of Spring (SOS)
The Spirit of Spring (SOS) is Nativity’s annual auction and most important fundraising event—dedicated to fostering generosity, community, and connection and will be held on April 18, 2026. This event plays a vital role in supporting our school budget and special Fund-a-Need projects that directly benefit all students.
Every family’s participation makes a difference! You can get involved by contributing items, securing donations or sponsorships, bidding in the online silent auction, or joining us in person for the big night.
The evening features dinner, a silent auction, a live auction, and plenty of opportunities to socialize with fellow Nativity families, staff, alumni, parishioners, and friends who support our mission. All are welcome! Dress attire is dressy casual.
How Can I Support SOS?
Did you know it costs more to educate your child than what our annual tuition is? To help fill that gap and also provide some funds to complete capital projects at the school (not in the general operating budget of our school), we rely on our fundraisers. While donating to our Spirit of Spring efforts is not required, involvement and support from our families is vital to the success of the event. Whether you approach businesses or family to provide monetary support, donate a family cabin for a weeks stay as an auction item, donate your time to help plan the event, or purchase RaiseRight gift cards for game prizes or auction baskets, your involvement is critical.
We welcome newly purchased items but there are also many cost-free and fun ways to procure items for SOS! You can help Nativity of Mary School in three different ways:
1. Donate an item or experience! Your generosity makes a difference! Auction donations come in all shapes and sizes - whether it's a unique experience, a service, or an item big or small. You can donate as an individual or team up with a group to create something special. Simply complete the online Item, Service or Buy-In Donations form. All donations are considered tax-deductible in accordance with tax laws.

2. Sponsor this event! Various sponsorship levels are available. As an official sponsor, you will gain even more exclusive marketing opportunities and visibility. Complete the online Business & Individual Sponsorship/Monetary Donations form. All donations are considered tax-deductible in accordance with tax laws.
3. Host a buy-in party! What is a buy-in party? These are one of the most popular item types! A buy-in party is a separate event held at a later date for a pre-determined number of people to attend. As part of our online auction in April, people can purchase tickets to buy-in parties for a fixed, per-person price. 100% of the ticket proceeds go to Nativity of Mary! Where is the Event?
The Spirit of Spring event will be held at the Minnesota Valley Country Club - 6300 Auto Club Rd, Bloomington, MN 55438. There is free and ample parking on-site.
Do I Need A Ticket?
Yes, you must purchase a ticket to attend and you must purchase them in advance. Tickets prices will be announced closer to the date and tickets will not be sold at the door. link to purchase tickets will be made available closer to the date.
Cash Drawing
You could win cash! 1st prize is $2026, 2nd prize is $500, and 3rd prize is $200. To purchase your tickets, fill out the Cash Drawing Form (coming soon)! Return the form and your check to the Nativity of Mary School office by mail, in person, or in the collection basket by April 13th. We will put your name on the tickets you purchase and include them in the drawing! Drawing will be held April 18th. Winners need NOT be present to win.
When Are Donations Due?
Please turn in all donations by March 27th to the school office.
Chance To Win
To purchase tickets for your chance to win, fill out the Win Tuition For A Year Form (coming soon) and return with your check to the Nativity of Mary School office by mail, in person, or in the collection basket. We will put your name on the tickets you purchase and include them in the drawing. Ticket price is $100.00 each. Make checks payable to Nativity of Mary. Return the form to the school office with payment no later than April 10, 2026.
